Sanaya Khisty appointed Chief Strategy Officer of Beyond Zero Emissions

Beyond Zero Emissions is delighted to announce the promotion of Sanaya Khisty to Chief Strategy Officer.

Sanaya joined our team in July as a Senior Advisor for our successful Million Jobs Plan and brings to the team expertise in strategy, stakeholder engagement, advocacy and policy. As Chief Strategy Officer, Sanaya will lead our organisational and project strategic planning and play a central role in our collaborations with stakeholders, partners and funders.

Prior to joining Beyond Zero Emissions, Sanaya worked for B Lab Australia and New Zealand where she designed and delivered a strategy to establish legal accountability to purpose and profit for Certified B Corporations (B Corps). In other roles, she has specialised in policy and consulted to governments.

Sanaya is on the Board of Climate for Change and Chair of its Governance and Risk Subcommittee. She also volunteers as a mentor for Altiorem, an online library making the case for the long-term, sustainable and purposeful allocation of capital. Sanaya brings experience in developing proposals, fundraising, building strategic partnerships, working with boards, and has networks across business, finance and the climate movement.

Sanaya holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from ANU. She is a 2017 Fellow of the University of Melbourne’s Pathways to Politics Program for Women and is currently participating in Women’s Environmental Leadership Australia 2020.
