Initial investigations conducted by CSIRO indicate that the southern coast of Australia possesses a substantial wave energy potential. This is attributed to the powerful winds of the Southern Ocean, which generate consistently large waves advancing northward to the southern coastline of Australia. The persistent and substantial swells create optimal circumstances for harnessing wave energy.
