Industry and mining produces nearly half of Australia’s emissions (46%). These emissions have traditionally been considered difficult to abate due to the complexity and diversity of activities that fall into the category. However, advances in clean technology mean that industry emissions, largely focused around factories and processing plants, can be reduced through the rapid deployment of proven clean technologies.
