Volunteer with BZE

Volunteer for Beyond Zero Emissions and help deliver real climate solutions.

Volunteering is a way to help make real change. Our community of volunteers supports our essential work. We have technical and general opportunities to suit a range of different skills and experience, and we provide mentoring and support as needed.

Meet our team and find out why we’re a part of Beyond Zero Emissions, then join us!

Volunteers help us to:

  • deliver research projects
  • give presentations to community groups, governments and industry
  • produce radio shows and podcasts
  • deliver discussion groups
  • organise events, social activities and fundraisers
  • provide administrative support to help maximise our outputs while keeping costs low.

Our need for volunteers varies throughout the year. Some volunteer roles require a set time commitment, while others are flexible or ongoing.

By volunteering for us you can use your skills and knowledge in an enjoyable environment while meeting new people and adding some impressive projects to your resume.

Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE) is an internationally recognised climate change think tank, providing independent and ambitious climate change solutions for Australia.

Our flagship research shows how all sectors of the Australian economy can decarbonise, repower and benefit from the transition to zero emissions. These Zero Carbon Australia plans cover renewable energy and electricity; energy efficient buildings; sustainable transport; agriculture, farming and land use; and industry.

Through volunteer-powered research we show that a thriving, zero emissions society is achievable and affordable now, and that Australia can become a renewable energy superpower.
