Beyond Zero Emissions conducts high-quality research to provide solutions for how Australia can become a zero carbon economy.
We advocate in a number of different ways for the climate solutions that emerge from our research to reach the widest audience possible
Submissions to public policy
We provide meaningful submissions to government consultations and enquiries such as Review of climate change policies discussion paper and Independent Review of the National Electricity.
Broadcasting to the community
Twice a week we produce community and technology-focused radio shows on 3CR. Past high-profile guests have included Australian Senator Bob Brown and 2007 Australian of the Year Tim Flannery.
Leading public discussions
Our monthly discussion group in Melbourne is open to all and a great place to connect with fellow climate change supporters and learn more about the issues.
Providing expert speakers
Our BZE speakers turn complex topics into understandable presentations and discussions for organisations, community groups and schools.
Connecting with governments
We target individual ministers to share our research and often invite politicians to speak at our launches. For example, in 2010, Malcolm Turnbull as Minister for the Environment presented at the launch of our Stationary Energy Plan in Sydney.
Attending conferences and events
From presenting our climate solutions to raising awareness of our work through stalls, we attend dozens of events each year.
Beyond Zero Emissions is powered by volunteers: engineers, scientists, economists and communicators all contribute their time and expertise to develop and promote climate solutions that support a rapid transition to zero emissions. Can you join us?
